My Favorite TV Shows To Watch In the Bathtub!

Sometimes we need a quiet bath, or soft music, in order to truly relax. I’m really not a believer in tv time being equal to resting, it’s just way too stimulating. But sometimes my bath isn’t about needing to recharge, recover from sickness, or get a break from a busy week. Sometimes it’s just for an hour or so of pampering! You know – face mask, shave legs, nice body scrub, glass of something tasty to drink.  Bath time can be JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT TO, there doesn’t alway have to been some deep healing purpose to bathing. So, on nights like that I like to watch tv in the tub 🙂 I’m blessed to have a television hanging on the wall in my bathroom, but in pervious homes I was just as content to have my laptop propped up on a stool near the tub so I could watch Netflix. So, without further ado, these are my very favorite TV shows to watch while taking a bath! Not for any reason in particular, other than just for fun and to give you some ideas if you’re looking for a great new show to watch.

1. New Girl

I LOVE this show! It’s just a fun, feel good, super funny show. The characters and script are just hilariously well written. I’m totally jealous of Jess’ bangs and all her cute skirts. If you’ve never watched, I recommend it. Even though I’ve seen every episode, it’s one I keep going back to over and over again. It’s a perfect happy show to watch while chilling in your bubble bath 🙂

2. Friends

I mean, will this show ever get old?! I really don’t think so, it’s timeless. And wonderful. And lovely. And funny. And just the best ever. I totally want to sing in a coffee shop with Phoebe, go shopping with Rachel, and heck I’d even clean the living room with Monica!

3. Big Bang Theory

Seriously y’all. This show. I started watching it years ago while my husband was busy working on his Masters Degree, and I needed something good to watch while he was in class and the kids were in bed. This cast is the nerdiest, funniest, most lovable ensemble of characters I’ve seen. If you like smart writing with a fun, science-nerdy twist – definitely give it a shot. And if you ARE a total nerd, or are married to one, you will really identify and find it even funnier!

4. Superstore

This is a newer show that I’ve really enjoyed. America Ferrera, of Traveling Pants and Ugly Betty fame, is just precious. She’s such an overlooked talent in Hollywood, in my opinion. This show is cute and funny. At first I thought “ok, this is too cheesy” but it grew on me, and now I’m hooked. The characters are quirky and diverse, and some of them are truly hysterical.

5. The Office

Half an hour laughing, crying, and cringing with Michael Scott is sometimes just what the Dr ordered for me! This is another I could watch over and over again. I go back and forth on who my favorite character is, but I pretty much always circle back to Michael. He’s so clueless and just ridiculous half the time, but he loves his friends and coworkers so much and I find that super endearing.

6. Parks & Rec

I’m not going to name any names, but I have a dear friend who seriously reminds me of Leslie Knope! I think that’s partly why I enjoy the show so much. And Ron Swanson somewhat reminds me of my husband, so there’s that. It’s SUPER FUNNY! There isn’t a single character on it who hasn’t made me laugh hysterically. Treat yo self!

7. Good Girls

Good Girls is brand new and my current fave. It’s got a good balance of drama and comedy, which I like, without being just totally trashy – which I also like! I’m pretty engrossed in it – what will Rio demand of them next? Will Annie get it together for the sake of her daughter? Will Ruby’s daughter get the care she needs? And will they rob another grocery store?? And seriously, could Ruby’s husband BE any nicer of a guy?! If you like a good girl power story, and don’t mind a minor amount of blood and shooting, I recommend this for some great laughs and a great story line.

Ok – I could go on forever since I’ve watched SO much tv! But that’s a pretty good list to maybe give you a few ideas you’ve either never seen or haven’t seen in a long while!
